What is forestry mulching and

how does it work?
Forestry mulching is the process of cutting down

small trees and other overgrown vegetation.

What types of vegetation can be mulched?

  • Small trees (up to 10" in diameter)

  • Brush

  • Bushes

  • Downed trees

How long does it take?

A 1 acre tract with medium overgrowth generally takes 4-8 hours.  The thickness of the brush and accessibility of the property can play a part in how long the clearing process will take.

What happens to the mulch afterward?

The mulch will be spread on the ground during the mulching process.  If the mulch is left in place, it adds a layer of protection against erosion.  This enhances soil quality by preserving moisture and enhances the regrowth of grass with fewer weeds.

The mulch can also be removed or relocated.  Skid steer services are available upon request.
